5a Compare THREE different contexts where counselling skills are used.

Context 1

There are many scenarioss where counselors work. The most obvious is practice with cooperation with GP. In those kinds of settings, patient is forwarded to a counselor by GP. Scenarios maybe every single time different but in general the majority of issues are associated with anxiety and depression or with mental health in general. In large practices, the counselor may be employed full-time. In a smaller practice, it will be part time.

5b Context 2

Counselors play an important role when they work with children and adolescence. Primary schools and universities employ counselors to help pupils and students to cope with a variety of circumstances. At primary education children may experience bullying, may have traumatic experiences associated with abuse. Adolescence may experience unplanned pregnancy. At the university level, the cases may be much wider. Under those settings, a teacher may refer the student.

5c Context 3

Private companies may employ counselors to maintain the welfare of their staff. Under those settings, counsellor may deal with issues like employee burnout and with issues related to stress and anxiety.
